Mercito “No Mercy” Gesta is back in action!
While preparing for his July 19th, 2013 boxing match against Ajose Olusegun, Mercito suffered an injury on June 14th, 2013 during a sparring session. After several months of healing, Mercito’s spirits and determination remained high. With the support of family, friends, Team Gesta, and fans, Mercito is ready to prove to the world that he can and will become a champion in the sport of boxing.
In a recent conversation with Mercito, he stated, “I’ve been waiting such a long time for this moment and I’m going to train so hard”.
Mercito has begun training at the CMAC BPS Gym in San Diego with his father Anecito Gesta, and will have the support of his mother Mercedes Gesta and brother DonDon Gesta. As Mercito noted, “My dad is my inspiration and my family and Team will be by my side as I continue my career in boxing.”
With smiles and confidence, Mercito said, “I want to say thank you to all my fans for their patience. It’s been a tough few months, but I’m still young and very hungry to get back in the ring. God bless and thank you again.”
